What is MySaleAgreed? |
You can also click here for "The Knowledge" about private sales |
 |
A free, sophisticated, London property portal.
Sellers create their own quality property advert on MySaleAgreed and then receive queries directly from buyers. See the Seller's page by clicking here.
By doing this, sellers save potentially thousands of pounds which would otherwise have been paid to an estate agent. They also remain fully in control of their sale and avoid a lot of the problems associated with having an agent involved. |
 |
How do I list a property? |
 |
By using our easy to use listing tool, a seller creates a snapshot of the sale property.
The listing contains as many photographs as you like. As well as an easy-to-use text editor (if you can use a word processor, you can use this!), we offer easy click menus and boxes to create a property description.
When you’ve done your bit, our system automatically adds details such as local transport information to the listing (tailored specifically to each property) to make it even more useful for London buyers.
Even after it is published, every sale listing remains editable by the seller. Simple. |
 |
How are properties on MySaleAgreed advertised? |
 |
Our website has sophisticated search facilities for buyers. Have a go, they’re good.
MySaleAgreed is visited every day by prospective buyers. Every property is also advertised using our network of commercial partners. |
 |
What if you want to use MySaleAgreed and one or more estate agent(s) to try to sell your property? |
 |
Some customers may wish to do this, depending on circumstances.
Working to sell privately, and using an agent, is something which lots of people do. It can work very well and gives sellers both options.
You should obviously read the terms and conditions of business with your estate agent(s) to check that you will not be required to pay commission to the estate agent(s) in the event that you sell your property yourself privately by using MySaleAgreed advertising.
For information on the types of estate agent contract (sole selling rights, sole agency, etc, etc) and other issues, why not take a look at a useful page on the Citizens Advice Bureau website (click here) or a document produced by the Office of Fair Trading (click here). |

How do I value my property? |
 |
As MySaleAgreed is not an estate agent, we don't value your property or otherwise advise on that. However, at the relevant stage of the listing process, MySaleAgreed displays free information (obtained from Land Registry sources) about the price of different types of property in your postcode over a recent period.
This will help, in addition to the research you can easily do on the internet nowadays and, of course, by checking prices in the high street.
Arriving at a sale price isn't a mysterious science - it just takes some research on your part. It's one of the favourite topics of conversation in the UK anyway! |
 |
Do I use a solicitor / licensed conveyancer? |
 |
Absolutely. Solicitors / licensed conveyancers are an important part of the legal process and you should instruct them in the usual way as part of a house sale / purchase. They produce the sale / purchase documents and ensure that things go smoothly from that perspective. |

How do buyers and sellers communicate regarding a MySaleAgreed listing? |
 |
At the click of a mouse, a buyer may send a secure and private message to the seller of a property. This may be to make further enquiries, arrange a viewing or make an offer. The seller may then respond in the same way.
There is, therefore, no need to include private contact details as part of a published listing (that's really not a great idea on the internet!). Buyers and sellers need not reveal personal information about themselves, unless they choose to at an appropriate stage, but in the interests of transparency the name of the sender of a message is revealed to the recipient.
When a message is received, it is logged in the recipient's MyHub within MySaleAgreed. In addition, for convenience, an email is automatically sent to the recipient's registered email address, informing him or her that a message is waiting. It's convenient. It's easy.
This is, however, an automated system and it is not controlled or overseen in any way by MySaleAgreed. Accordingly, care should be taken in using the messaging system, but that's just sensible (and quite obvious!) behaviour. |
